In an article about the expanding role of nurse practitioners, AANP member Ivy Alexander explained that NPs “…are extraordinarily well prepared to provide primary care. They are trained in managing multiple types of health problems and in promoting a healthy lifestyle. With the current challenges in patient care, I can only see the role of the nurse practitioner increasing.”
NPs were well-represented to the Foundation of Associated Industries of Florida Health Care Affordability Summit. Current and former AANP elected leadership met with key Florida stakeholders. Taynin Kopanos, AANP Vice President of State Government Affairs, served on a workforce panel. (see photo below)
