Cardiovascular specialist and AANP member Amy Doneen was interviewed by a Spokane, WA, news station regarding a revolutionary model for detecting and preventing heart disease. “Beat the Heart Attack Gene,” a book co-authored by Doneen, contains additional information regarding discoveries made by Doneen and her colleague. AANP member Beth Partin is one of 40 outstanding alumni being recognized by the University of Louisville as part of its 40th anniversary celebration. Partin told reporters, “Nursing isn’t a job. It kind of becomes who you are. I can’t imagine being anything but a nurse.” Read the article.
Elisha Clark and Beth Fineran, AANP members, were featured in an article which indicated that the increasing demand for health care might result in an expanded role for Ohio’s nurse practitioners.
