Spotlight on NPs is a weekly article that highlights exciting achievements and activities of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) members.

AANP Fellow Dr. Remi Hueckel was mentioned in an article about Duke University’s use of telepresence robots as an instructional tool to provide life-like clinical simulations for nursing students.  Learn more about this innovative program.

AANP member Melissa LaMaster was featured in an article about the emerging role of nurse practitioners.  According to the article and a USA Today analysis of federal data, NPs are a fast-growing part of the medical marketplace.

Congratulations to AANP member Kelly Randermann and her classmates at the University of Houston – Victoria.  The first UHV graduating class of family nurse practitioners earned a 100 percent pass rate on the national certification examination.  Read more.

A USA Today article about the increasing importance of nurse practitioners and physician assistants featured AANP members Melissa LaMaster, Elizabeth Visone and Kristen Guida, as well as AANP VP of State Government Affairs Dr. Taynin Kopanos.
