Spotlight on NPs highlights exciting achievements and activities of American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) members.
AANP Fellow Dr. Teresa Gardner Tyson was quoted in an Associated Press story (also published in the New York Times) about people who seek free health care at an annual Remote Area Medical Clinic in Appalachia. Tyson and AANP Fellow Dr. Paula Meade lead the Health Wagon, a mobile clinic that serves patients in that area.
Want to learn more about the life of a women’s health nurse practitioner? AANP Fellow Barb Dehn shared her story in the Merck for Mothers blog. Dehn said, “It’s an honor to be invited into a woman’s life at any time, and especially during pregnancy. As a health care provider and a nurse practitioner, I take that very seriously.”
